The wait for “See” Season 2 has been a long one, but the Jason Momoa-led fantasy series is finally returning to our screens later this year. Set in a future where a deadly virus ravaged the earth and left humans without the ability of sight, the high concept show was a big swing for Apple TV+. “See” has a passionate fanbase eagerly awaiting the premiere of Season 2, and that passion has even earned their favorite series an early Season 3 renewal (via Deadline).
Even though “See” didn’t exactly wow critics, the ambitious series was praised for its inclusivity. The series includes a number of cast and crew members who are either blind or have low vision, and who were instrumental in crafting the epic drama’s unique world. As viewers can attest, “See” is wholly unlike any other fantasy series out there in large part because the world-building is devoted to imagining what a society of people with no concept of vision would be like.
The hook of the series is two children with the ability to see are born into this world, and when word gets out, they become both feared and coveted. With everyone gunning for the twins, their surrogate father Baba Voss (Momoa) makes it his mission to protect them at any cost. However, by the end of Season 1, the twins were separated and a war was brewing that could change the characters’ world forever.
